Research Interests
Development of new instruments for phonomicrosurgey, improvement of surgical techniques emphasizing in management of sulcus vocalis and scars of the vocal folds, evaluation of implantable materials in phonosurgery, new classification systems for the diseases of the vocal folds, study and management of reflux and it´s impact on the superior airway, development of new diagnostic technologies for diseases of the larynx and the superior aerodigestive tract.

Academic and Professional Activities
Dr. Campos is President of the International Association of Phonosurgery, co-founder and President of the Latin American Society of Laryngology and Phonosurgery, member of the Board of Directors of the Colombian Association of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery, Director and Editor of the Journal Acta de Otorrinolaringología y Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello, member of the Local Board of Editors of the journal Postgraduate Medicine and Hospital Practice in Spanish, member of the European Laryngological Society, the American Academy of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery and other major international societies. He has gained international recognition due to his work on refinement of surgical techniques to improve voice quality and is constantly invited to participate in continuing medical education activities in different countries.
