Workshop: Laryngeal Pathology, Stroboscopy and New Diagnostic Technologies

Course objectives:
This is a hands on three days intensive training for a reduced group of ENT specialists that wish to improve their diagnostic skills and knowledge on laryngeal diseases. Personalized instruction is offered while evaluating real cases of patients of the Institute that accept being examined in the midst of a clinical training activity. We have state of the art stroboscopy and high resolution video equipments available for training.
At the end of the course, participants will be capable of:
Understanding physiology of vibration of the vocal folds
Recognizing possible causes of dysphonia.
Making a differential diagnosis
Performing laryngostroboscopic examinations
Interpreting findings of stroboscopic evaluations
Making a diagnosis and formulate recommendations based on clinical findings
Understanding the principles of evaluation by means of high resolution video and videkymography
Defining with a higher degree of precision the cases that require surgical treatment.
In addition, since good food and good wine are enjoyed with good friends, at the end of every day’s work, attendants enjoy gourmet cooking and wine tasting activities.
